Assistant Merchant

Develop and execute the product line by transferring assortment from design status to purchase order readiness across merchandising tools. Manage product information accuracy and history within systems like PLM and EDW, while liaising with Inventory, Sourcing, Design, and Marketing to ensure cross-functional alignment. Perform sales analysis, maintain monthly department views, and present quarterly competitive findings derived from store visits. Create and maintain seasonal assortment plans in conjunction with the Merchant, ensuring sample availability for meetings and floor reviews. Drive the copy process with Marketing counterparts to communicate accurate information via fact sheets and manuscript proofs. Maintain change forms throughout the merchandising process to communicate updates organization-wide. Participate in weekly sales and hindsight discussions to inform future assortment decisions and support the Boston-based lifestyle brand's growth strategy.
