Job Summary
Assistant Merchant II drives product selection and merchandising strategy for the brand/category, collaborating cross-functionally to develop seasonal assortments, analyze sales performance, and align offerings with market trends. Responsibilities include managing sample lists, supporting catalog and digital channel development, conducting competitive analysis, monitoring sales data to identify risks and opportunities, optimizing assortments and inventory, and assisting in executing brand-wide initiatives and seasonal plans. Required skills include strong analytical abilities, cross-functional collaboration, data-driven decision making, and proficiency with Excel, PLM/ERP systems, and merchandising tools. A Bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years of merchandising/product analysis experience are expected, with an eye for trend, fit, and customer preference.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, or a related field
- 3–5 years of experience in merchandising, buying, or product-related roles
- Strong analytical skills and experience interpreting sales and KPI data
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; experience with PLM, ERP, or other merchandising systems is a plus
