Job Summary
Assistant MEP Superintendent responsible for coordinating and supervising Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) trade contractors and craft teams on construction projects. Duties include managing craft labor and subcontractors, reviewing certifications and trainings for specialty crafts, coordinating timecards and site orientation/safety meetings, supporting project managers with schedule development, overseeing equipment and materials management, guiding setup and demobilization activities, supervising quality and safety audits, and training/performance evaluation of craft workers. Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent experience), at least five years of construction supervision/management, strong organizational and communication skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office and project tools, and willingness to travel. Visa sponsorship is not offered; US work authorization required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent experience
- Completion of or interest in Master, Journeyman, or Apprentice electrician program preferred
- Minimum five years construction supervision or related experience
- Minimum five years construction management or related experience, preferably with a Mechanical or Electrical Contractor
- Electrical circuitry qualified or ability to be qualified by Mortenson Electrical Managers, if necessary
- Proven ability to fulfill development to closeout responsibilities for multiple, complex projects
- Organize and manage multiple project tasks
- Possess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices
- Microsoft Office, project and pertinent web application skills
- Proven positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skills
- Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies
- Current Driver’s license
- The ability to travel 100%
