Job Summary
Photograph physician and staff for departmental publications and events, and capture medical surgical subjects requiring specific technical knowledge and adherence to institutional guidelines. Prepare files using image management software, transferring photographic files into patient digital charts and institutional storage drives. Work with department physicians to develop photographic protocols and standards, and supervise lower-level photographers in image making and file management. Select and maintain photographic and video equipment for producing medical images.
Required Qualifications
- High School Degree
- at least 5 years of professional photography experience
- portfolio of photographic work and publication examples
- Knowledgeable in the operation of digital still, video cameras and 3dCamera systems, studio and location lighting used for medical and general photography
- Knowledgeable in post digital image capture, file exportation, correction, preparation using photographic editing software, ie; Adobe Photoshop, Bridge, Premier Pro
- Knowledge in proper care and maintenance of all photographic equipment
- able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
Desired Qualifications
- Prior medical photography experience
- Degree in Photography preferred
