Job Summary
Overhaul and repair maintenance vehicles, mowing equipment, and other power equipment while lubricating, servicing, and inspecting all gear for operating deficiencies. Maintain hydraulic systems, adjust cutting units, replace tires, and assist in fabricating, body repair, and painting. Clean working areas after repairs, control tool access, and assist the maintenance crew in operating various maintenance equipment. Train staff on proper equipment care and upkeep, incorporating safe work practices throughout job performance. Requires a valid driver's license, mechanics certificate, and ability to lift up to 100 pounds in outdoor conditions with potential exposure to fumes and moving mechanical parts.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination and experience
- Valid Driver's License
- Mechanics Certificate from Gas and Diesel Engine Training Seminar
- Ability to read and speak English
