Job Summary
Ensure conveyors and systems operate efficiently according to manufacturer recommendations by inspecting, cleaning, and adjusting conveyor scrapers and brushes. Prepare, clean, inspect, and lubricate mechanical parts while assisting with the mechanical assembly of certain components. Perform equipment greasing under supervision and maintain a clean, safe work environment in compliance with company health and safety policies. Inform the immediate supervisor of any required actions, identified issues, or delays. Work safely in noisy, dusty environments, potentially outdoors in hot or cold temperatures.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in maintenance, repair, and adjustment of mechanical equipment such as conveyors, grinders, shredders, vibrating tables, hydraulic systems, etc.
- Experience performing manual work or an equivalent combination of relevant experience
- Strong manual/hand skills
- Autonomous, methodical, and proactive
- Diligent, conscientious, and resourceful
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working in a noisy environment
- Comfortable working in a dusty environment
- May be required to work outdoors and be exposed to hot or cold temperatures
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in maintenance, repair, and adjustment of mechanical equipment such as conveyors, grinders, shredders, vibrating tables, hydraulic systems, etc. (an asset)
