ASSISTANT MEAT MARKET MANAGER

Develop a department atmosphere focused on customer service, safety, and cleanliness goals while assisting the department manager in exceeding gross profit, shrink, and sales targets. Manage associates' time and efforts to maximize productivity, communicate company information, and encourage team members to meet targeted sales and productivity goals. Cut and package meat items, merchandise the department to stay current with ads and seasonal trends, and maintain proper equipment and temperatures. Assist in training associates, gain product knowledge, and participate in inventory taking. Ensure safety procedures are followed, identify unsafe conditions, and report accidents, risks, or illegal activity such as robbery, theft, or fraud. Maintain working order on department equipment and notify management of repairs or issues.
