Job Summary
Provide and promote exceptional customer service by greeting clients, taking telephone orders, and ensuring prompt, courteous interactions. Supervise the cutting room, maintain proper pricing, and merchandise all meat department products while enforcing food safety programs and local regulations. Assist the meat manager with scheduling, inventory levels, cutting tests, and departmental paperwork. Lead by example in cleanliness, sanitation, and professional appearance, creating a positive atmosphere through teamwork and flexibility. Maintain a clean workstation and rotate processed meat products. Schedule includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Must be knowledgeable in various training methods
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine and repetitive tasks, and have constant contact/interaction with various levels of individuals on a daily basis
- Flexibility in work hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must have excellent problem-solving skills
- Must be able to lead by example to give Food City Customers their best shopping experience
- Knowledge of Food City policies and procedures
- Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies
