Job Summary
Assistant Marketing Manager based in Waterloo, Ontario on a 20-month contract. Responsible for developing and executing activities across Retail, Export and Foodservice brands and channels to achieve revenue goals and strategic objectives. Responsibilities include: assisting in marketing strategy development (brand positioning, market/competitive analyses, customer segmentation, penetration plans, promotional activities, product positioning); guiding development and execution of integrated marketing communications (branding, PR, trade and consumer publications, trade shows, digital media, content management); producing marketing materials (print, POS, coupons, sampling); supporting product launches, training, tools, and general sales support; gathering and reporting on consumer, customer, and market data; collaborating with Marketing, Product Development, and Regulatory Affairs on new product development and lifecycle management; identifying trends and opportunities to support the innovation pipeline; planning community events, sponsorships and trade shows; supporting Customer Service with website and inquiries; requirements include a Bachelor's degree and 1-3 years experience in brand management; CPG/Grocery/Food industry experience is a strong asset; bilingual (English, French) considered an asset; strong project management and communication skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with image software and major social platforms is a plus.
