Job Summary
Assistant Manager at Krispy Kreme responsible for supporting the General Manager in daily shop operations to ensure exceptional guest service, product quality, food safety, operational excellence, and profitability. Helps lead and develop team members, maintain Krispy Kreme brand standards, drive sales performance, and sustain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and employees. Key duties include recruiting, onboarding, training, coaching, performance support, shift coverage, overseeing retail/production/sanitation/delivery, adhering to operating procedures and brand standards, inventory controls, opening/closing procedures, customer issue resolution, promoting promotional programs, managing labor and costs, and ensuring food safety compliance. Requires leadership, communication, and organizational skills, and experience with POS systems, cash handling, inventory, and scheduling; flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1–3 years of restaurant, retail, hospitality, or food service supervisory experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and operational procedures.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required food safety certifications.
- Experience with cash handling, inventory management, and scheduling preferred.
- Proficiency with POS systems and basic computer applications.
- Ability to work flexible schedules including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts as needed.
- Reliable transportation and ability to support nearby shop locations as business needs require.
