Job Summary
Assistant Manager at Krispy Kreme supports the General Manager in overseeing daily shop operations to ensure exceptional guest service, product quality, food safety, operational excellence, and profitability. The role assists in leading and developing team members, maintaining brand standards, driving sales performance, and ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and employees. Key responsibilities include recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, shift coverage, overseeing retail/production/sanitation/delivery functions, ensuring compliance with procedures and brand standards, managing staffing levels and inventory controls, supporting opening/closing procedures, maintaining product availability, handling inventory, resolving guest concerns, supporting promotional programs, and assisting with labor and cost management, cash handling, and POS operations. Requirements include supervisory experience in relevant sectors, a high school diploma or equivalent, strong leadership and communication skills, knowledge of food safety, ability to obtain certifications, experience with cash handling and scheduling, and flexibility in work hours. Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1–3 years of restaurant, retail, hospitality, or food service supervisory experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and operational procedures.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required food safety certifications.
- Experience with cash handling, inventory management, and scheduling preferred.
- Proficiency with POS systems and basic computer applications.
- Ability to work flexible schedules including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts as needed.
- Reliable transportation and ability to support nearby shop locations as business needs require.
