Job Summary
Assistant Manager at Krispy Kreme in Mesa, AZ supports the General Manager in overseeing daily shop operations to ensure guest service, product quality, food safety, operational excellence, and profitability. The role helps lead and develop team members, maintain brand standards, drive sales, and ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. Responsibilities include recruitment, onboarding, training, coaching and performance support for hourly staff; shift coverage and leadership support; overseeing production, sanitation, inventory, ordering, and inventory controls; ensuring compliance with procedures and standards; resolving guest concerns and supporting promotions and sales initiatives; and assisting with labor, product costs, waste, and controllable expenses while maintaining cash handling procedures and POS usage. Requires strong leadership, communication, organizational skills, and knowledge of food safety and regulatory requirements, plus flexibility to work varied shifts and reliable transportation.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1–3 years of restaurant, retail, hospitality, or food service supervisory experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and operational procedures.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required food safety certifications.
- Experience with cash handling, inventory management, and scheduling preferred.
- Proficiency with POS systems and basic computer applications.
- Ability to work flexible schedules including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts as needed.
- Reliable transportation and ability to support nearby shop locations as business needs require.
