Job Summary
Assistant Bakery Manager collaborates with the Bakery Manager to lead guest experience, cake production, brand and merchandise presentation, and daily bakery operations. Responsibilities include coaching and recruiting staff, ensuring food safety and bakery standards, managing scheduling, inventory, and basic accounting/expense controls, supporting sales and profitability, handling special-order fulfillment, assisting with opening/closing routines, and contributing to local marketing efforts. Requires strong guest focus, leadership, organization, problem-solving, and a proactive approach to developing the team and delivering a superior guest experience.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-3 years of guest-facing experience in a retail, restaurant or foodservice environment, preferably in a lead role with progressive managerial responsibilities
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
