Job Summary
Assistant Manager role in Dublin CA / Wexford Carlow housing sites, supporting Community Manager with day-to-day operations, rent collection, move-in/out, recertifications, compliance per HUD/CHFA/RHCP/TCAC, maintaining resident files, supplier coordination, and coordinating resident services; requires clerical/office experience, strong typing (40 wpm), proficiency with Word/Excel/Outlook, YARDI knowledge a plus, and a commitment to equitable housing; operates in an inclusive, professional environment with emphasis on resident relations and accurate financial/policy adherence.
Required Qualifications
- 6 months clerical/office experience or other related experience and/or training
- Type professionally and accurately at a minimum of 40 wpm
- Previous experience in property management a plus
- General understanding of preventive and ongoing apartment maintenance
- Computer literacy - PC hardware, YARDI software a plus
- Proficient in word-processing and spreadsheet software (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Self-starter, flexible, detail-oriented, and well organized
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Experience working with diverse groups, i.e., staff, residents, outside contacts
- Commitment to the companies’ goals and philosophy
- Passionate about equitable housing
- Certificates, licenses, registrations: Experience with HUD or CTCAC properties a plus
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, government regulations and other legal documents
- Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups and officials, and/or boards of directors
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages
- Ability to produce budgets and analyze financial reports, income statements and perform cost analyses
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
