Job Summary
Assistant Manager at a Goodwill store responsible for supervising store personnel in the absence of the Store Manager, assisting with cashiering, stock procedures, training and development of staff, and maintaining store appearance and security. Duties include managing donations, handling deposits, reducing theft, administering company policies, and ensuring safety and compliance. Requires strong customer service, communication, basic math, and leadership abilities; must pass a drug screen and background checks; valid driver’s license and insurance; ability to work a flexible schedule and open/close the store. Location is South Bend, IN; Part-time role with in-store duties and responsibilities outlined in the Employee Handbook.

- Ability to be a working Assistant Manager
- Ability to work a flexible schedule; open and close the store and work long days, as necessary
- Must be able to pass drug screen before receiving store keys and random drug test thereafter
- Results of limited criminal history check must meet company standards
- Ability to fill in as production supervisor or fill in at other locations as needed
- Equipment Used: Cash register, Telephone, Promotion on paging and message repeater, Calculator, Dolly, Z-racks, Tagging gun, Barrels, Copy machine, Fax machine, Computer, Forklift (18+ with certification), Pallet jack, Pallet stacker, Compactor (18+ to operate)
- Physical Requirements: Must have good eyesight, speech, and hearing; good physical stamina; ability to lift up to 50 pounds; ability to work in dusty environment
