Job Summary
Assistant Manager, Venue Sales and Event Management (Performing Arts) drives venue revenue and oversees end-to-end event planning for WestK PA venues (Xiqu Centre, Freespace, WestK Performing Arts Centre) from sales to post-event review. Responsibilities include identifying and pursuing new catering and events opportunities across corporate, NGO, commercial and wedding segments; building and maintaining relationships with clients, promoters, agents, and partners; analyzing market trends and pricing to inform sales strategy; coordinating with operations, technical teams, appointed caterers, and external vendors to ensure seamless events; ensuring safety, licensing, and regulatory compliance; managing event timelines and budgets; and delivering events that align with commercial objectives and uphold the venue’s brand and service standards. Requires university degree in a related field and at least 4 years of relevant experience; strong English, Cantonese and Mandarin communication skills; proficiency with event booking platforms and Microsoft Office; ability to manage multiple events and deadlines; and a can-do, problem-solving attitude.
Required Qualifications
- University degree in Art Administration, Event Management, Hospitality, Business Management, or related field
- Minimum 4 years of working experience; up to 2 years in venue, hotel or event production agency is preferred
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
- Excellent client relationship management and communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple events and deadlines simultaneously
- Proficiency in event booking platforms and Microsoft Office suite
- Proficiency in written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin
