Job Summary
Join Big 5 Sporting Goods as an Assistant Manager Trainee, where you will gain hands-on experience and knowledge necessary for promotion to management roles. Responsibilities include managing store operations in the absence of the Store Manager, driving sales, performing customer sales and service, overseeing merchandising, handling customer inquiries, and complying with company policies. This entry-level, hourly position is designed to be a stepping-stone to management within 6-18 months, and candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, basic organizational skills, and strong communication abilities.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must possess High School diploma, GED, High School Equivalency, certificated equivalent and/or relevant experience
- Must possess basic organizational and/or applicable math skills
- Must possess effective and demonstrable interactive and communicative skills
