Job Summary
Assistant Manager supports the Profit Center Manager to maximize profitability and ensure efficient operations. Responsibilities include acting in charge in the absence of the Profit Center Manager, assessing needs for purchasing equipment via feedback from sales staff, CSRs, customers, and product managers; modifying weekly sales plans; ensuring DOT and safety compliance; performing dispatching duties when needed; inspecting the Profit Center yard; coordinating with OSRs/CSRs on slow-moving equipment; ensuring shop foreman is aware of unavailable equipment; maintaining presentable facilities and yard; producing reports (daily contract, AP on hold, accrual, asset disposal); ensuring the team meets goals and adheres to company standards; and performing other duties as assigned by PCM. Qualifications emphasize a high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, and rental industry experience or a business management degree.
