Job Summary
Partner with the Store Manager in daily store operations, including opening/closing procedures, point of sale, inventory management, and ARC merchandising standards. Assume full responsibility for store functions—personnel, cash handling, and employee scheduling—when the Store Manager is absent. Monitor key performance indicators to drive sales and profitability while managing expenses. Supervise Back Room Processors and coordinate Work Therapy Assignments for Beneficiaries. Handle hiring, training, performance coaching, and disciplinary actions for the store team. Ensure customer and donor satisfaction, maintain security of funds and property, and conduct weekly store and monthly safety meetings.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years previous Retail Management/Supervisory experience
- Basic understanding of office applications, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Valid Driver's license
- Ability to pass MVR report
- Proof of insurance
- Access to a motor vehicle
- Ability to communicate effectively with management, store employees, customers and donors
- Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis
- Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, clothing carts, merchandise carts, rolling clothing racks, fixtures, furniture dollies, platform trucks and carts, hand trucks and miscellaneous carts
