Job Summary
Assistant Manager at SONIC Drive-In assists the General Manager in managing drive-in operations, trains and supports Team Members, Carhops, and Skating Carhops, directs staff to meet operational standards, handles opening/closing duties, manages staffing, inventory, and food cost, and performs weekly inventory. Responsibilities include administrative duties, maintaining records, reinforcing customer service, responding to guest requests, and resolving complaints with supervision. Qualifications emphasize managing experience in QSR or retail operations, irregular hours, and strong communication and leadership skills.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of six months of restaurant management experience (QSR) or one year entry level retail management experience required. Experience running shifts without supervision
- Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays
- General knowledge and understanding of the restaurant industry or retail operations required
- Effective communication skills; basic math, reading and computer skills
- Ability to follow directions and work with autonomy once given directions; ability to multi-task and successfully solve problems
- Willingness to abide by the appearance, uniform and hygiene standards at SONIC
