Job Summary
Assistant Manager needed to lead and manage drive-in operations during shifts. Responsibilities include training, directing, coaching, and supervising drive-in employees; leading shift operations to ensure optimal guest experience; managing staffing levels; performing opening/closing duties; escalating guest and employee issues; monitoring food, labor, and inventory for cost-control and quality; assisting with preparation and maintenance of records; ensuring compliance with company policies, laws, and safety standards; performing station duties (fountain, burgers, front/drive-thru, etc.) as needed; daily sanitation and cleanliness; maintaining regular attendance; and performing additional duties as assigned. Time/shift expectations require a minimum of 30 hours per week with irregular hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: At least six months of restaurant management experience or one year of retail management experience
- Experience running a restaurant shift without supervision
- Knowledge/Skills: General restaurant or retail knowledge
- Knowledge of labor and employment laws (federal, state, local)
- Knowledge of health and safety laws and regulations
- Basic computer, math, and reading skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Problem-solving, multi-tasking, decision-making, leadership, time-management, and conflict-resolution skills
- Work Environment: physical demands in a restaurant setting
