Assistant Manager

Job Summary
Assist with leading and managing the drive-in’s operations and employees during assigned shifts. Train, manage, direct, coach, and lead drive-in employees; lead operations to provide an optimal guest experience; manage staffing levels; perform opening/closing duties; escalate guest and employee issues; monitor labor and inventory to maximize cost-control and quality; assist with maintaining drive-in records; ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and laws; perform station duties across fountain, grilled and drive-thru as needed; maintain sanitation and regular cleaning; work with irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays; require 6 months of restaurant management or 1 year of retail management experience; strong knowledge of labor laws, health and safety regulations, and effective communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: At least six months of restaurant management experience or one year of retail management experience
- Experience running a restaurant shift without supervision
- Knowledge/Skills: General restaurant or retail knowledge
- Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of federal, state, and local labor and employment laws (e.g., wage and hour laws; EEO laws, etc.)
- Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of federal, state, and local health and safety laws and regulations
- Knowledge/Skills: Basic computer, math, and reading skills
- Knowledge/Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Skills: Problem-solving, multi-tasking, decision-making, leadership, time-management, and conflict-resolution skills
- Work Environment: Continuous standing, bending, reaching, moving, stooping, stretching, and lifting in a restaurant environment
- Other: Regular attendance
