Job Summary
Assistant Manager position overseeing drive-in operations and staff during shifts. Responsibilities include training and directing drive-in employees, leading operations to ensure excellent guest experience, managing staffing and opening/closing duties, handling guest and employee issues, monitoring cost controls and inventory, maintaining records, enforcing company policies, ensuring compliance with laws, performing all shift duties across stations (fountain, dressing, drive-thru, food prep, etc.), and sanitation tasks with regular attendance. Requires experience in restaurant or retail management, shift leadership, knowledge of labor and safety regulations, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work 30+ hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- At least six months of restaurant management experience or one year of retail management experience
- Experience running a restaurant shift without supervision
- General restaurant or retail knowledge
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local labor and employment laws (e.g., wage and hour laws; EEO laws, etc.)
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local health and safety laws and regulations
- Basic computer, math, and reading skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Problem-solving, multi-tasking, decision-making, leadership, time-management, and conflict-resolution skills
- Regular attendance
- Move and stock food product weighing up to 50 pounds
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned or required
- Time/Shift Expectations: Minimum of 30 hours per week; irregular hours; nights; weekends; and holidays
- Work Environment: Continuous standing, bending, reaching, moving, stooping, stretching, and lifting in a restaurant environment; exposure to heat and hot liquid shortening while cooking; exposure to freezer when stocking food items; extreme temperatures based on weather
