Job Summary
As an Assistant Manager, you will manage store staff and operations in the absence of the Store Manager. Responsibilities include ensuring cleanliness, setting up sales/promotions, processing register functions, projecting customer merchandise needs, assisting with markdowns and transfers, driving sales and profitability, monitoring individual performance, and training associates. The role requires strong customer service skills, excellent communication, initiative, and problem-solving abilities. Must be able to lift between 15-30 pounds, stand for long periods, and have at least 2 years of retail leadership experience.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong drive to achieve results
- Takes initiative and has problem solving skills
- Able to respond to store alarm problems as needed
- Candidate will be required to stand for long periods of time throughout their shift
- Lifting between 15-30 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- At least 2+ years’ experience in retail leadership as an Assistant Manager or Department
- College degree
