Job Summary
As an Assistant Manager, you will manage the store’s staff and operations in the absence of the Store Manager. Key responsibilities include maintaining store cleanliness, setting up sales promotions, processing register functions, and ensuring merchandise presentation meets standards. You will assist in driving sales and profitability, training associates, and communicating operational goals to maximize team contributions. Ideal candidates possess strong customer service skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record in retail leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Able to respond to store alarm problems as needed
- Candidate will be required to stand for long periods of time throughout their shift
- Lifting between 15-30 pounds.
Desired Qualifications
- At least 2+ years’ experience in retail leadership as an Assistant Manager or Department a plus
- College degree a plus but not required
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong drive to achieve results
- Strong problem solving skills
- Ability to lead a team
- Disciplined and self-motivated
- Adaptable and flexible
