Job Summary
Assistant Manager at S&G supports the Store Manager to ensure efficient operation and policy compliance, leads customer service efforts, supervises staff, maintains merchandising standards including plan-o-gram integrity, oversees pricing and transactions, drives sales initiatives, and ensures safety and reporting requirements are met. Requires High School Diploma or GED and prior supervisory/retail experience; training programs and company certifications are preferred. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, work varied shifts including weekends/evenings, and travel/price surveys as needed. Strong leadership, communication, and knowledge of store systems and transactions are expected.
Required Qualifications
- Retail experience Required
- Completion of the Assistant Store Manager Training program and other relevant Company required training programs and required certifications
- Good understanding of Company systems and technology
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to research and resolve issues
- Knowledge of retail business management practices
- Knowledge of all types of store transactions and related programs
- Vehicle required to conduct price surveys
