Job Summary
European Financial Controller role focusing on EU financial controllership, revenue accounting, and monthly close processes. You’ll own end-to-end revenue close across multiple European entities, manage WIP and revenue recognition, ensure GAAP/IFRS compliance, coordinate intercompany reconciliations, and deliver timely management reporting. You’ll partner with Billing, FP&A, and local finance teams (Luxembourg, Jersey, London, Southampton) to provide insight on revenue trends, profitability, and risk, while leveraging Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) as the core ERP. The role emphasizes system controls, process improvement, multi-country collaboration, and support for audits and group reporting. Based in Southampton with hybrid travel across European offices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent qualification (preferred)
- 3+ years’ experience in financial controllership or FP&A roles
- Experience in financial services, fintech, or regulated environments
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and core revenue recognition practices
- Experience managing multi-country or European operations
- Advanced Excel and Modelling Skills
- Strong understanding of financial controls, audit requirements, and compliance frameworks
