Job Summary
Provide leadership and support to Hospice House staff to ensure patients receive excellent care supported by best practices in an efficient, fiscally responsible manner. Oversee bereavement and volunteer functions within the hospice unit. Manage daily operations with minimal supervision as a proven self-starter. Maintain licensure as a Registered Nurse in good standing with the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulation and hold OASIS certification. Requires a BSN or ADN with completion of a bachelor's degree, two years of home care or hospice experience, and three years of clinical experience. Must possess a current Michigan driver's license and operate an insured vehicle capable of transporting patients to homes in various weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing with a BSN, ADN with completion of a BA/BS or BSN within 3 years
- 2 years Home Care or Hospice experience
- 3 years clinical experience
- Licensed as Registered Nurse and in good standing with the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulation
- Possesses current Michigan motor vehicle license
- Ability to drive a car
- Insured vehicle capable of transport to patient homes or other offices in various weather conditions
- Vaccination or lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella
- Flu vaccine during flu season in the year hired and annually thereafter, or approved medical or religious exemption
