Job Summary
Retail Assistant Manager supports the Store Manager in daily operations, helps achieve sales goals, ensures merchandising standards, and delivers operational excellence by effectively leading a high-performing team. Collaborates with peers and Area Manager to assess customer needs and develop methods for achieving service, sales, and operational objectives. May provide full leadership over the store. Responsibilities include assisting in merchandising, operations, sales and customer service; ensuring high customer satisfaction; opening/closing routines; communicating metrics and expectations; coaching and developing store associates; acting as a link between customers, sales associates, and store leadership; maintaining product knowledge; contributing to a positive and inclusive work environment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of management/supervisory experience; retail management experience a plus
- Proven experience in a retail/customer service environment
- Ability to train, coach, develop and motivate employees
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to work evenings and weekends
- Ability to lift up to 25lbs
