Job Summary
Assistant Produce Manager role in Sobeys’ Victoria BC store focused on assisting the Produce Manager in leading the department daily. Responsibilities include coaching and developing staff, scheduling and controlling labor costs, budgeting and inventory management, merchandising, adhering to Food Safety Protocols and SOPs, ensuring OH&S compliance, and delivering superior customer service. The role involves recruitment/training of staff, communicating operational changes, maintaining department standards, and supporting achievement of financial targets and margins. Requires leadership skills, ability to work independently in a fast-paced retail environment, and High School Diploma with at least 12 months of retail experience; weekend/evening availability is required.
