Job Summary
Responsible for the development and implementation of the company's production control functions including master scheduling, production planning/coordination and dispatching. Develops, implements, and approves material requirements, planning systems, work-in-process tracking, and manufacturing performance reporting. Generates master production schedules, conducts demand forecasting, manages SAP-based MRP, and ensures on-time production and delivery with strong collaboration across maintenance, engineering, procurement, and production management. Requires 10+ years of production planning experience in manufacturing and deep SAP ERP expertise; includes new product transitions (PCN tracking), sample management, KPI tracking, and MIS reporting. Located in Mumbai, India.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of relevant experience in production planning in manufacturing
- SAP ERP tool experience in depth
- New Product transition activities including PCN tracking
- Sample Management
- Ability to generate master production schedules and execute them
- Planning of material, machine, and personnel resources for local plant/site operations
- Coordinate with maintenance, engineering and production management to identify deficiencies and drive improvements
- Inventory analysis and control; MRP in SAP; demand/forecast management in SAP for die and RM suppliers
- Procurement orders initiation and release according to plans
- Performance tracking through quarterly KPIs and MIS reporting
- Safety program participation and compliance
- Data analysis for demand fulfillment and capacity planning
- Collaboration with warehouse, purchase, production, quality, and engineering departments
