Job Summary
Oversee front desk personnel and front-of-house operations to ensure effective daily activities, including managing club metrics, monitoring inventory, and reviewing sales numbers with the General Manager. Assist in interviewing and recruiting front desk staff and fitness instructors while mentoring employees through training, development, and performance assessments. Coordinate disciplinary actions, ensure team compliance with dress codes and cleanliness standards, and oversee overnight cleaning duties. Maintain a clean, friendly, and well-maintained club environment while covering shifts for call-outs or vacancies. Perform other duties as assigned by the Club Manager.
Required Qualifications
- A High School Diploma Or Equivalent
- 6 month Supervisor or Manager experience in a restaurant or retail environment in a high volume atmosphere
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities
- Solid work ethic with strong decision-making skills
- Self-starter who takes initiative with minimal direction and supervision
- Comfortable working a flexible rotating schedule
- Basic computer, math, and communication skills
- Superior customer service skills
- Solid supervisory, diplomacy and listening skills
- Strong problem resolution skills
- Ability to talk and hear, sit, stand, and use their hands and fingers to handle or feel
- Required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Occasionally lift and move objects up to 75 pounds
- Weekday and/or Weekend Hours based on club needs
- Monday: 3:00pm - 11:00pm
- Tuesday: 3:00pm - 11:00pm
- Wednesday: 3:00pm - 11:00pm
- Thursday: 3:00pm - 11:00pm
- Friday: 1:00pm - 9:00pm
- Saturday: 11:00am - 7:00pm
- Sunday: 11:00am - 7:00pm
Desired Qualifications
- Associates degree
- 1 year Supervisor or Manager experience preferred
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel)
- Bi-lingual
- Open or Flexible availability is a plus
- Superior customer service skills, preferably in the fitness industry
