Job Summary
Oversee front desk personnel and front-of-house operations to ensure effective daily activities and superior customer service. Drive club metrics aligned with business performance, monitor inventory, and review sales numbers to identify opportunities for improvement. Assist in recruiting by conducting initial phone interviews for front desk and fitness instructors. Manage cleaning duties for front desk employees, oversee overnight staff, and coordinate disciplinary actions with management. Mentor front-end employees through training, development, and performance assessments while maintaining a clean, friendly, and well-maintained club environment. Cover shifts for employees during call-outs or vacancies and assist the Club Manager when needed.
Required Qualifications
- A High School Diploma Or Equivalent
- 6 month Supervisor or Manager experience in a restaurant or retail environment in a high volume atmosphere
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel)
- Ability to talk and hear, sit, stand, and use their hands and fingers to handle or feel
- Required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- The employee must frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds
- The employee must occasionally lift and move objects up to 75 pounds
- Comfortable working a flexible rotating schedule
- Weekday and/or Weekend Hours based on club needs
Desired Qualifications
- Associates degree
- 1 year Supervisor or Manager experience in a restaurant or retail environment in a high volume atmosphere
- Bi-lingual
- Open or Flexible availability
- Superior customer service skills, preferably in the fitness industry
- Solid supervisory, diplomacy and listening skills
- Hard working, enthusiastic and energetic
- Strong problem resolution skills
