Job Summary
Assistant Manager supports the General Manager in overseeing daily store operations, delivering customer service, driving sales, and maintaining high standards for quality and guest experience. This role helps supervise staff, manage inventory, and ensure smooth store operations while creating a welcoming environment for customers. Key responsibilities include opening/closing procedures, cash handling and register accuracy, food safety compliance, seasonal displays and promotions, delivering outstanding customer service, assisting with gift selections and events, resolving customer concerns, coaching and onboarding staff, creating staff schedules, achieving sales goals, local marketing and community outreach, upselling, inventory monitoring and order receiving, and proper storage of chocolate products. Required: high school diploma or equivalent, 1–3 years in retail/cust service/food service/hospitality, basic POS proficiency, strong communication and organizational skills, flexible hours including weekends/holidays. Preferred: experience in confectionery or gift store environments, inventory control knowledge.
