Job Summary
Oversee daily retail operations by opening and closing the store, managing safety and security, and directing assigned team members. Direct store personnel training, supervise staff performance, and ensure optimum customer service while resolving claims and complaints per policy. Manage inventory by assisting with order placement, receiving, stocking, and maintaining accurate records to achieve sales and productivity goals. Develop promotions, maintain merchandising displays, and process weekly hot sheets and price adjustments. Participate in monthly store meetings and lead projects delegated by the Store Manager. Maintain safe store conditions for employees and customers while following company procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of overall store policies, procedures and goals
- Knowledge of management responsibilities
- Ability to fill in as needed for the Store Manager
- Ability to oversee tasks assigned and delegated to various store team members
- Ability to train store personnel
- Ability to supervise in store personnel
- Ability to insure optimum performance and amazing customer service
- Ability to assist in maintaining an accurate Inventory
- Ability to keep the store in a safe condition for Team members and Customers
- Ability to shop the competition monthly
- Ability to participate and sometimes lead the monthly store meetings
- Ability to oversee inventory order placement
- Ability to oversee inventory receiving and store stocking
- Ability to achieve sales and productivity goals as established by the Store Manager
- Ability to keep gross margin at acceptable levels
- Ability to maintain a safe working condition of store equipment and fixtures
- Ability to follow company procedures
- Ability to develop promotions to increase store traffic
- Ability to ensure that end-caps, cross merchandising and feature displays are properly merchandised and maintained
- Ability to demonstrate Helpful customer service
- Ability to greet and assist customers on the sales floor
- Ability to resolve customer claims and complaints in a manner that is timely, courteous and discreet
- Ability to authorize refunds in a manner that is consistent with company policy
- Ability to work with the processing of weekly hot sheets and price adjustments
- Ability to ensure store bin tagging is completed in a timely manner
- Ability to attend and assist with mandatory monthly store meetings
