Assistant Manager, Patient Care

Oversee patient care unit operations during assigned shift; lead nursing team; collaborate with nursing management on methods and analytical approaches to patient care; communicate and guide team toward department objectives; promote high quality, family-centered care; maintain a professional work environment with engagement, accountability, and respectful practice; provide education on department procedures and systems; participate in budget input; ensure adherence to care delivery models and regulatory standards (JC, CMS, NYS DOH, HIPAA); demonstrate core clinical competencies to supervise and deliver direct patient care; stay current on scope of practice, healthcare legislation, and population health; interpret policies for team members; identify opportunities to improve care delivery and team effectiveness using evidence-based strategies; perform other essential duties as required.
