Job Summary
Support the Store Manager in daily operations of a self-storage facility by maintaining cleanliness, safety, and facility order through sweeping, dusting, trash pickup, and maintenance tasks. Assist with organizing operational tasks, handling customer accounts including delinquency actions, and touring storage spaces to guide customers through the rental process. Manage daily deposits, cash counts, and petty cash while conducting regular property walks and security checks. Deliver exceptional customer service via in-person, phone, and email communication, and collaborate positively with team members to support occupancy and service goals. This part-time role averages 27 hours per week on Sundays, Mondays, and Wednesdays.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work weekends and occasional holidays as business needs require
- Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday
- Ability to regularly walk the property to conduct inspections, security checks, and assist customers
- Ability to bend, kneel, climb ladders, and perform general facility and maintenance-related tasks
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to operate computers, tablets, phones, and standard office equipment for extended periods
- Ability to read computer screens, review digital records, and complete data entry and typing tasks accurately
- Ability to learn and utilize property management software, communication platforms, and other business systems necessary for daily operations
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire
- Employment may be contingent upon successful completion of a background check and/or drug screening
