Job Summary
Assistant Operations Manager role within the Manager-in-Training program supporting property operations at Macerich’s Elmhurst, NY sites. Works closely with the Operations Manager to coordinate schedules, workflows, and priorities, contribute to process improvements, track goals across departments, prepare and review operational reports, manage vendor/partner relations, assist with budgeting and resource allocation, ensure compliance with policies, and develop leadership capabilities for a future Operations Manager role. Includes opportunities for mentorship, training, and potential relocation within the United States based on company needs; in-person property-focused work with remote Fridays for corporate offices and Forever Fridays for retail properties.
Required Qualifications
- 2-4+ years of experience in facility operations, technical trade, commercial construction, property administration, or related support role
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Analytical mindset with basic proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar tools
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints or technical specifications
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and take initiative in a team environment
