Job Summary
Conduct daily store operations by overseeing departmental profitability, managing employee schedules, and ensuring compliance with safety and accounting procedures. Direct merchandise ordering, replenish shelves, and design displays while maintaining strict sanitation and building standards. Supervise staff through training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions, and resolve customer issues by providing prompt, courteous service. Recruit applicants, coordinate orientations, and handle cash registers as needed. Maintain a positive team atmosphere and adhere to all company policies and store guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- High School or equivalent experience
- One year or more of retail experience including performing the duties of an Assistant Manager
- Must be able to physically perform medium work: exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and 20 pounds of force frequently, and 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
- Vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without correction, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision
- Ability to solve practical problems; variety of variables with limited standardization; interpret instructions
- Ability to do arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages
- Ability to interview to obtain basic information; guide people to provide basic direction; follow technical manuals and have increased contact with people
- Must be able to physically perform the following physical activities: Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
- Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre employment drug screen
