Job Summary
Develop nursing care delivery systems and allocate resources to promote safe, compassionate patient outcomes in collaboration with the Clinical Manager. Manage personnel, budgets, and regulatory standards while overseeing performance evaluations, discipline, and goal-setting for assigned staff. Ensure safe therapeutic environments, maintain unit operations through data-driven performance improvement, and coordinate nursing care across healthcare disciplines. Assist in interviewing for vacancies, orient new hires, and advocate for patients and families. Maintain compliance with JCAHO standards and professional nursing organizations while supporting staff development and community representation.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- Current RN licensure in the state of employment
- Minimum of two (2) years in clinical nursing practice
- Certification in area of specialty within 6 months of eligibility
- BLS certification prior to patient contact
- Demonstrated knowledge of nursing, healthcare, and organizational systems, and strategies
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in performance improvement theory and application
- Knowledge of JCAHO standards and other external organizations related to healthcare evaluation and accreditation
- Experience with the methodologies and processes related to organizational financial viability
- Well-developed communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills
Desired Qualifications
- BSN
- One (1) year experience in leadership or charge role
- Membership in professional organizations
