Assistant Manager, Nursing Services-RN - Main Comp Med Medical Stepdown - FullTime - Nights

Develop PI Plan initiatives with the Clinical Manager to improve patient outcomes and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Manage personnel, budgets, and strategic planning for the Main Comp Med Medical Stepdown unit while allocating resources for efficient, safe, and compassionate care delivery. Provide performance evaluations, counseling, and discipline to assigned staff; facilitate goal attainment and maintain high competency levels across the team. Collaborate with physicians and charge nurses to optimize patient throughput, integrate services across the continuum, and maintain a safe therapeutic environment. Assist in interviewing for vacancies, orient new hires and float staff, and participate in councils, task forces, and performance improvement activities. Balance patient needs with cost-effectiveness and advocate for patients and families. Maintain visibility on the unit and represent nursing in community activities.
