Job Summary
Conduct administrative leadership in collaboration with the Clinical Manager to develop PI Plan initiatives, manage personnel, and oversee budget and regulatory standards. Ensure safe, therapeutic environments for patients and staff while maintaining high visibility on the unit. Provide feedback, counseling, and performance evaluations to assigned staff, ensuring they achieve necessary competencies and goals. Participate in regular leadership meetings, councils, and task forces to drive performance improvement and data-driven care delivery. Assist in interviewing for vacancies and coordinate nursing care with physicians and other healthcare disciplines to facilitate efficient patient throughput. Balance patient needs, quality, and cost-effectiveness while ensuring compliance with JCAHO and other regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- Current RN licensure in the state of employment
- Minimum of two (2) years in clinical nursing practice
- Certification in area of specialty within 6 months of eligibility
- BLS certification prior to patient contact
- Demonstrated knowledge of nursing, healthcare, and organizational systems, and strategies
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in performance improvement theory and application
- Knowledge of JCAHO standards and other external organizations related to healthcare evaluation and accreditation
- Experience with the methodologies and processes related to organizational financial viability
- Well-developed communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills
Desired Qualifications
- BSN
- One (1) year experience in leadership or charge role
- Membership in professional organizations
