Assistant Manager Networking & Telecommunications

Job Summary
Design, implement, and maintain network systems including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers; oversee LAN/WAN/wireless networks; manage VoIP, PBX, and unified communications; oversee telecommunications contracts, SLAs, and vendor relationships; act as escalation point for complex networking/telecommunications issues; manage incident response to minimize downtime; ensure network security policies and standard compliance; collaborate with cybersecurity on audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing; assist in planning and executing network/telecommunications projects within time and budget; lead and mentor junior networking team members; coordinate with vendors and service providers; maintain detailed network configurations, logs, and incident reports; prepare regular performance and project reports for senior management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Experience: At least 4-6 years in networking and telecommunications, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or assistant management role
- Experience working with enterprise-level networking infrastructure and telecommunication systems
- Proven track record of managing and maintaining secure, reliable, and high-performance networks
