Job Summary
Assistant Manager to support the Publican in running the pub smoothly and with a great vibe. You’ll lead a team of hospitality staff, build strong local relationships, handle hiccups before they escalate, and learn the ropes of being a Publican. The role involves hands-on work with manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (moving stock, kegs, deliveries). The ideal candidate has bar/bistro/gaming room experience, some supervisory background, confidence, pride, and people skills to be the face of the pub when leadership is away. Required Qualifications
- Current RSA and RSG as per state requirements
- Experience supervising staff in a bar, bistro, or gaming room block (preferred)
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and moving stock, kegs, and deliveries
