Job Summary
Support daily café operations by assisting with opening and closing, cash management, inventory, and equipment maintenance while maintaining a clean, safe environment. Deliver exceptional hospitality to customers, address concerns proactively, and uphold high standards for beverage quality and food preparation. Lead team members through hiring, onboarding, training, and coaching, while managing scheduling and providing performance feedback. Partner with the Café Manager on payroll review, administrative reporting, and implementing operational improvements. This role requires weekend and holiday availability with a schedule varying based on business needs. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous barista experience
- Satisfactory driving record, if applicable
- Weekend and holiday availability
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to operate espresso equipment and other café equipment safely
Desired Qualifications
- Previous café, restaurant, hospitality, or retail leadership experience
- Experience coaching or leading team members
- Food safety certification (or ability to obtain)
