Job Summary
Support the logistics manager by scheduling freight carriers, managing daily shipping and receiving schedules, and sourcing carriers to negotiate freight rates. Coordinate new vendor setups in Terrapure systems, log deliveries and shipments, and maintain accurate cost monitoring within our systems. Partner with the commercial group to address inventory and shipping challenges, while identifying and resolving issues regarding damages, incorrect shipments, and packaging. Track freight metrics in SharePoint and manage logistics staff as designated. Assist the logistics coordinator with managing transboundary permits and year-end governmental reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Post secondary education within related field
- Minimum 3 years logistics experience
- Able to demonstrate leadership skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Working knowledge of SAP
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment under tight deadlines
- Strong communication skills
