Job Summary
The Last Mile Assistant Manager oversees delivery and shipping operations, mentors dispatchers, schedules daily deliveries and pickups, uses fleet tracking and Transportation Management Systems to optimize routing, handles escalated issues (route delays, vehicle breakdowns, missed appointments), ensures adherence to company policies, state laws, and DOT safety regulations, analyzes operational data for cost savings and efficiency, and prepares reports for senior management. The role also involves addressing customer inquiries and providing proactive order-status updates, requiring strong problem solving, communication, data analysis in Excel, and professional liaison with internal and external partners.
Required Qualifications
