Job Summary
Manage a staff of 3 to 15 employees by assigning, overseeing, and evaluating work while providing on-the-job training for new hires. Execute fast, accurate sandwich preparation and service operations, including forecasting food items and completing daily opening and closing procedures. Delegate ordering, storage, and issuing of all food, labor, and supplies to ensure minimum loss from waste or theft. Route deliveries, serve drivers, and assist in-grocers during rush periods while greeting customers and taking orders. Audit previous shift systems, maintain equipment, and handle both customer and employee issues with 100% integrity. Requires overtime, holidays, and weekends; $17–$18/hr; minimum 50–60 hours weekly.
Required Qualifications
- Willing to work overtime, holidays, weekends as business dictates.
- Position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Must be at least 19 years of age.
- Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, current automobile insurance, and maintain a clean driving record.
- No more than 2 minor violations in the past 3 years.
- No major violations in the past 5 years.
- Must have the stamina to work a minimum of 50-60 hours a week.
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Must have the ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives under minimal supervision.
- Ability to handle and resolve customer threats and issues.
- Ability to handle and resolve employee issues.
- Skills to use a personal computer and various software packages (Word / Excel).
- Ability to handle stress and high-volume operations.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with a retail food company is a plus.
