Job Summary
Assistant Manager in EY ITTS Corporate Tax Advisory will supervise multiple tax engagements, provide innovative tax planning ideas and solutions, coach and mentor junior staff, stay up to date on trends and tax developments, identify opportunities for tax planning and other services, and contribute to team goals. Located in Johannesburg, South Africa; role emphasizes tax planning for multinational clients and collaboration across a range of tax services.
Required Qualifications
- BCom Honours degree (preferably in accounting/accounting sciences) with a completed or in-progress higher diploma / master’s degree in taxation favourable
- minimum of 5 years South African corporate tax experience
- Big 4 firm experience preferable
- Excellent supervisory, analytical, and leadership ability
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Ability to work with tight deadlines
- Process oriented with excellent documentation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Mature, proactive, committed, highly motivated and driven team player
