Job Summary
Assistant Manager, Investment Research Solutions role focused on supporting the delivery and development of the Research Solutions function across Equity, Fixed Income and Multi-Asset teams. Responsibilities include governing research processes, coordinating external research activities, producing reporting and management information to support governance forums, monitoring process effectiveness, driving operational improvements, supporting data analysis and utilisation initiatives to enhance transparency and controls, coordinating across stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of research support processes, risk/issue tracking, maintaining governance records and documentation, and providing guidance to team members while collaborating with investment, operations and support teams. The role requires independently managing duties across multiple activities, strong analytical skills, stakeholder management, and familiarity with research governance and operational effectiveness. Beneficial experience includes exposure to Bloomberg, AlphaSense, Power BI, Tableau, SQL or Python, and a data-driven mindset for reporting and metrics, with an emphasis on governance and process improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Experience within asset management, investment operations, research support, business management or related environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail
- Ability to manage responsibilities independently and prioritise effectively across multiple activities
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
- Interest in investment research processes, governance and operational effectiveness
- Strong organisational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment
- Exposure to process improvement, workflow optimisation or operational change initiatives would be beneficial
- Data-oriented mindset with experience working with reporting, analysis and operational metrics
- Exposure to research platforms, AI tooling and data visualisation technologies such as Bloomberg, AlphaSense, Power BI, Tableau, SQL or Python
